Target Audience
This activity is primarily intended and designed to educate residents and fellows from the core aesthetic specialties (Dermatology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Plastic Surgery) as well as any core aesthetic physicians in the local community who have been in practice 3 years or less.
Educational Objectives
After the program, participants should be better able to:
- Identify signs of facial aging that occur in the bony structures, muscles and fat compartments of the face as it age
- Describe the various FDA-approved neuromodulators and soft tissue fillers (Hyaluronic Acid fillers
- Incorporate various tools for use during the aesthetic consultation session with a goal of bettering the physician-patient communication process
- Assess patient safety and satisfaction by developing appropriate injection techniques when using dermal fillers and neurotoxins
- Describe standard protocol to effectively handle adverse events
