Course Details

Course Description/Purpose:
This accredited course, filmed at the 2024 Global Aesthetics Conference, features a lecture on facial danger zones and vascular occlusion—how to recognize, treat, and avoid it—followed by injection demonstrations covering buttock augmentation with biostimulatory fillers, male facial treatment, and full-face rejuvenation with various HA dermal fillers. The workshop includes expert insights from a panel of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates.

To complete this activity and receive credit, the participant should:

  • Review the materials on accreditation information, target audience, learning objectives, and disclosure information
  • Complete the entire self-study
  • Complete the post-test and evaluation/claim form

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Recall the key qualifications and skills to look for in potential AAHPs.
  • List the anatomical “danger zones” in facial aesthetics, detailing the risks associated with injections in these areas.
  • Describe what to do if a suspected vascular occlusion occurs when injecting near the perioral area.
  • Explain how the different characteristics of HA fillers impact your decision about where to inject in the face.
  • Identify several areas on the face and/or body where a biostimulatory filler would be most beneficial for satisfactory patient outcomes.

Target Audience

This activity is primarily intended and designed to educate clinicians who inject dermal fillers and neuromodulators. Primary specialties include dermatology, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and plastic surgery. Cosmetic and aesthetically focused clinicians will also benefit from this activity.
