Course Description/Purpose:
The goal of this CME certified course is for the faculty to discuss their experiences using hyaluronic acid dermal fillers when treating the periorbital area. Case studies are included. 

To complete this activity and receive credit, the participant should:

  • Review the materials on accreditation information, target audience, educational objectives, and disclosure information
  • Complete the entire self-study
  • Complete the post-test and evaluation/claim form

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the danger zones in upper eyelid treatment and recommended locations and techniques for filler placement.
  • Review recommended types of fillers that should be used in the periorbital area.
  • Discuss when/where one should choose a cannula over a needle when injecting the periorbital area.
  • Explain the faculty’s warnings if using triamcinolone (TAC) when treating the periorbital area.

This CME-certified activity is primarily intended and designed to educate physicians and extenders who practice aesthetic medicine including, dermatologists, facial plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, plastic surgeons, and cosmetic physicians.
