Course Description/Purpose:
This CME certified course will demonstrate injection techniques with botulinum toxin in patients who suffer from bruxism. The goal is to relax the masseter and temporal muscles to alleviate symptoms of temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ). 

To complete this activity and receive credit, the participant should:

  • Review the materials on accreditation information, target audience, learning objectives, and disclosure information
  • Complete the entire self-study
  • Complete the post-test and evaluation/claim form

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the process of injecting a neuromodulator to alleviate problems related to bruxism/TMJ. 
  • List potential benefits associated with injection of a neuromodulator in patients with bruxism/TMJ.

Target Audience

This CME program is primarily intended and designed to educate those physicians who inject facial fillers, especially dermatologists, facial plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, plastic surgeons and those who assist in their practice.
